Interview with Amani Clarke-3rd Grade

What’s the best thing about being a student at BBS?

I like that it’s German and English. I really like the music classes too.

Is there anything you would like to change at the school?

I would like there to be more consequences for bad stuff. Stuff happened to me already in school and I think it is not ok.

I think the punishments should be harder and that when a person does something bad, we really show them that it is not ok to do that.

What’s been the biggest challenge at school during the pandemic and why?

I think it’s fine.

How do you contribute to a good atmosphere at school?

I’m class rep so sometimes I come really early and help to organise the tests in the different places for the students. In the student council, we talked about how we could help the Haus Meister. It’s unfair how the kids make the toilets dirty. We could do like during Eco week when students clean up the yard. We could spend a week when the kids have to clean the toilets.

Name one good thing you’ve learned from being a student during the pandemic?

I really liked when the grades spilt up during Hort and our grade got to do woodwork all the time and I discovered that I really like woodwork.

What are you most looking forward to about growing up?

I’m looking forward to which job I’m going to get. I think I will do risky stuff like climbing on trees or swimming under water.
