Interview with Arthur Paulick-Thiel, Grade 7

1. What’s the best thing about being a student at BBS?
I would say that it is having a healthy student-teacher relationship. I'm friendly with many of my teachers, which gives me a more comfortable learning environment.

2. What would you do differently if you were in charge of BBS?
Not much. The school is doing great and I would never be able to do anything near to as good as it. But many people have requested less homework. I know it's required but we already spend so much time at school and then we have to do homework. sometimes even multiple hours of it.

3. What’s been the biggest challenge at school during the pandemic and why?
I'd say it's probably having to wear a mask all day long. It makes it way harder to concentrate due to it being much warmer, making you sweat and just generally feeling uncomfortable.

4. Name one good thing you’ve learned from being a student during the pandemic?
That school is a privilege, not an obligation.

5. How do you contribute to a good atmosphere at school?
By calling people out for insensitive comments and representing and asking my classes questions and demands during student council meetings.

6. What are you most looking forward to about growing up?
This one is quite personal. But really, I'm just looking forward to being independent and exploring life.
